Python Fundamentals with Jupyter: Day 2 builds on the programming foundation established in Day 1 and gives participants more tools for solving problems with Python. In the second half of this hands-on course, participants move beyond basic statements and decision-making to create programs that repeat tasks, organize collections of information, reuse code, and work with data more efficiently. Using Jupyter Notebooks throughout the course, participants will write, test, troubleshoot, and improve Python code through practical exercises. The emphasis is on understanding how the pieces of Python work together—not simply memorizing syntax. By the end of Day 2, participants will be able to combine fundamental Python concepts to create useful programs and will have a strong foundation for continuing into data analysis, automation, or more advanced Python programming. Day 2 topics include: Reviewing and building on Day 1 concepts Creating repetitive processes with for loops Using while loops Controlling loops with break and continue Working with lists Accessing, adding, removing, and modifying list items Looping through collections of data Working with tuples and dictionaries Understanding key-value pairs Creating reusable code with functions Passing arguments to functions Returning values from functions Understanding variable scope Using built-in Python functions Importing and using modules Working with basic error handling Reading and troubleshooting Python code Combining logic, loops, collections, and functions Building a practical Python program using skills from both days Who should attend: Participants who have completed Python Fundamentals with Jupyter: Day 1 or have equivalent experience with Python variables, data types, operators, conditional statements, and basic program logic.
